Interior Design Project

Project Overview

WELL TRAVELED

Home is just a resting spot for many. A place where one stores their “things”. There is no better feeling than coming home, even if we may be leaving again. Designing for clients is always a fun and creative experience. No one is the same which makes every project different. From styles to one’s needs, there are just so many personalities and corresponding solutions.

Timeless Interior Design Wayne PA

Like all our projects, it starts with a relationship and from there the design naturally blossoms. We were initially brought on board after a plumbing leak ruined wallpaper and flooring in multiple rooms including a large two-story foyer.

Well traveled and stylish, this client’s discerning taste made for a wonderful collaboration. Our main goal was to keep the flow of the house in mind while furnishing the spaces. The damaged tone-on-tone floral wallpaper was replaced with a modernized tone-on-tone damask print. The cream carpet up the stairs was replaced with a cheetah adorned with custom silk tape trim along the open edge. The upstairs landing was fitted with wood flooring to coordinate with the original floor on the main level. Our design process was created so that we could efficiently solve client’s problems with a creative approach. In this particular project the creativity question was how to blend our contributions into the prior designer’s work.

Our relationship grew and we continued on to other spaces in the house, carefully introducing new designs that would remain timeless yet bring new life into the home. It’s truly incredible when we look at the before and afters. The family room was updated using the existing rug in conjunction with new window treatments, layout, and furnishings.

In the breakfast room we simply reupholstered the dining chairs and modernized the heavy window treatments and shades. A new light with a large off-white shade replaced a smaller vintage fixture adorned with fruit. Our favorite addition was the Stark carpet which compliments the vintage Stark carpet the client purchased from her previous designer.

Throughout the house we repurposed items to furnish other spaces including a guest room. We even retrofitted old window treatments to fit this space. Stay tuned for our upcoming bathroom renovation.
